Frequently asked questions
What's the difference between Component and Full URI?
Component (encodeURIComponent) escapes reserved characters like / ? & =, which is right for a single query value. Full URI (encodeURI) leaves them alone so a whole URL stays usable.
Why does + become a space when decoding?
In form-encoded query strings + means a space, so the decoder treats it that way.
