How do I verify a downloaded file?
Choose or drop the download, and paste the checksum published by the vendor into the compare box. A matching digest is highlighted.
Why is there no MD5?
MD5 is broken for security purposes and isn't offered by the browser's Web Crypto API.
Are files uploaded to compute the hash?
No. Files are read into memory in your browser and hashed with crypto.subtle.
